ABOUT US
Over 70 Years Of Rugby
Smiths Rugby is a rugby club based at the Prince of Wales Stadium in the centre of Cheltenham. We currently have first and second senior rugby teams, as well as Tag Trojans Minis and Under 15's Junior teams.
Whilst we train and play our rugby matches very seriously, we have a strong emphasis on keeping the fun and social atmosphere that has been the blueprint of our 70 year Rugby club history here in Cheltenham.

A Family Focused Club
We are proud to have created a club where everyone feels welcome, partners, kids and dogs!

Our History
Founded in 1952, Smiths RFC was initially a closed club for Smiths employees only, opening up for anyone to join in the mid seventies. Smiths RFC have always been proud of being a family friendly club, with many generations going on to play for the club.
Originally founded as a social club, we now take our games very seriously with a clear target for progression in the future; however, we keep a strong emphasis on the fun and social side of the club off the pitch which has been the blueprint of our clubs history, maintaining our ethos of rugby for all abilities.
