All aboard! Next stop - Twickenham
Following the impressive 53-12 win vs Mansfield RFC, Smiths Rugby are preparing for another trip from Cheltenham to Twickenham on Saturday 23 May for the Counties 2 Championship Community Cup Final. Strong semi showing secures trip to Twickenham
Smiths Rugby will visit Twickenham for a second time in two years after they made light work of Mansfield RFC in their RFU Community Cup Counties 2 semi final. The early May bank holiday weekend brought cup joy for all three current Smiths sides with U15s winning the Cirencester 7's tournament, Smiths United winning the Cheltenham & District Junior Combination Cup and Smiths 1st XV winning their RFU Community Cup quarter final. Smiths United into Junior Combination Cup Final
Smiths 2nd XV beat Old Patesians 2nd XV 22-20 in a real battle at Prince of Wales Stadium. In perfect Wednesday night conditions, Smiths started well and worked up the pitch with their attacking shape and solid set piece. A mixed week for Smiths Rugby
United through to Combination Cup semi finals. Smiths United beat local rivals Cheltenham North 2nd XV 48-20 in an entertaining derby battle at Prince of Wales Stadium in a midweek fixture on Weds 18 March. Smiths United bounce back with home win
Smiths United scored six tries in a 38-22 defeat of Ledbury 2nd XV at the Prince of Wales Stadium. Racing into a 19-0 lead, Smiths led from the start but didn't have things their own way as Ledbury fought gamely throughout.
